Bassenthwaite (54° 40′ 54.2″ N, 3° 11′ 16.94″ W) is a Village and Civil Parish in rural North Cumbria. The centre of the village sits in the shadow of Skiddaw about a mile to the east of the northern end of Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District.
